Mahogany (or Red) Obsidian is an Obsidian consisting of Magnetite or Hematite inclusions, resulting in the red color surrounding the usual black Obsidian.
It is a very protective and grounding crystal, and will benefit those who feel vulnerable to psychic or energy attacks. It can also help to remove energetic cords from people who tend to sap your energy or violate/trespass on your emotional boundaries, consciously or unconsciously.
Mahogany Obsidian (as with Black Obsidian) vibrates with a very strong grounding energy, and can help to provide strength in times of need.
