Astrophyllites are stunning rare minerals with shimmering golden- burnt brown blades. They get their name from Greek, meaning 'star leaf'. They were first discovered in 1884 and are found in relatively few locations in the world, usually forming in fissures or cracks in the earth.
Associated with the celestial, they have been referred to as the 'gateway to the stars' for their unique beauty and metaphysical reputation. They are thought to expand one's consciousness, embracing the multidimensionality of being.
